Royal Wedding Coverage: William and Kate Delight Crowd With Two Kisses

Prince William and Kate Middleton have sent the crowd gathering at Buckingham Palace to hysteria after they exchanged two kisses. Two hours after saying their vows at Westminster Abbey, the newly-married couple stepped onto the balcony of the palace and delighted the crowd gathering with a royal kiss.

Amidst the chanting of the crowd, the new Duke and Duchess of Cambridge did a very brief kiss. Apparently not satisfied by the quick peck on the lips, the crowd then chanted "kiss again". At first it seemed that the happy couple was not going to oblige to what the crowd demanded, but within minutes, they exchanged a longer kiss before the public eyes.

The newlyweds along with their family made an appearance on the balcony to watch a ceremonial flypast from the Royal Air Force and Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. Afterward, they retreated back inside for the queen's reception for some 600 guests.

Around 2 billion people across the globe tuned in to watch William and Kate saying "I will" on Friday, April 29. Though both looked nervous, they were all smiles and recited their vows without a glinch before Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams. Still, when William slipped the ring onto his bride's finger, it seemed that he had a brief moment of difficulty.

For the special day, Kate wore a long-sleeved lace gown designed by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen. William, in the meantime, donned the uniform of Colonel of the Irish Guards that features a scarlet jacket, a gold and crimson sash, gold sword slings without a sword in it and a forage cap.
