'Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' Poster: Daniel Craig Holds Topless Rooney Mara

The marketing department for "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011)" is moving forward by unleashing a domestic poster for the forthcoming film. The one-sheet highlights Rooney Mara who goes topless, with Daniel Craig holding her from behind. It also has a tagline "Evil Shall be Expelled With Evil" under the release date. 


David Fincher, the man behind "Fight Club", directs this drama thriller film which is slated for December 21 release across the nation. It will center the story on a ruthless computer hacker Lisbeth Salander (Mara) and disgraced financial journalist Mikael Blomkvist (Craig) who are employed to find missing girl Harriet Vanger by her uncle. 


In addition to the aforementioned actors, Robin Wright Penn, Stellan Skarsgard and Christopher Plummer are among stars taking supporting roles in the upcoming movie. The film itself is produced by Scott Rudin, Cean Chaffin, Ole Sondberg, Soren Staermose. 

Scotty McCreery Flattered by Bieber Comparison but Insists on Different Styles

Gaining meteoric fame in such a young age, 17-year-old Scotty McCreery has drawn comparison to another teen idol Justin Bieber who got a big break in the music industry a couple years back. Talking about the comparison in two different interviews, he said he's flattered but also a bit baffled. 


In a chat with MTV recently, Scotty said it was cool to be dubbed a "Country Bieber" because the Canadian singer "is the epitome of [a] big star." Talking about their alikeness, he mentioned their young age, "I mean, Justin's a whole lot further ahead than I am ... so, I guess it's mainly because of our age. ..." 


His fellow "American Idol" graduate Lauren Alaine then pointed out their boyish look as another factor which lured the girls to them. "Girls love Scotty McCreery like they love Justin Bieber," she gushed. "It's true." Scotty laughed, saying "Thank you, Lauren. I just figure it's because of our age. Me and Justin are pretty much two young guns." 


Meanwhile, the aspiring country music singer insisted their music is different when talking to Ok! Magazine. Still, he once again said he feels flattered by the comparison, "Me and Justin, we are both pretty young, but Justin's far more ahead then I am. He's got a great career. He's a star. It's cool to be referred to him. He's a major guy right now." 


Both Scotty and Justin, along with Lauren, have been set to attend 2011 CMT Awards on June 8. The invitation comes hot on heels on the official announcement that he and Lauren have inked a deal with Mercury Nashvile. To cap the good news, his debut single "I Love You This Big" reached No. 1 on iTunes chart. It also bowed at number 32 on Billboard Hot Country Songs, becoming the highest chart debut for a new artist on the chart in the SoundScan era.

The first footage from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 has been released, and it’s epically epic in its epicness. Okay, so it’s not. But MTV has decided to play big choir-led action music over cut shots of a wedding. Granted, it’s Bella and Edward and I’m sure fans of the books will enjoy this much more than I, but it still feels more than a little overblown. Nevertheless, stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are set to present the entire sneak peek footage at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards, which airs on Sunday June 5^th. Encore’s Birthday Marathon: Day 15

I sort of hate how slavish I am towards (the ghost of) Katharine Hepburn in that I tend to gravitate – at least momentarily – to things she likes. The thing is that her opinions are usually one point. Case in point: Spencer Tracy. I swear, I didn’t care two cents for Spencer Tracy until the memory of Kate invoked his ghost and now he’s one of my favourite screen couple. I immediately think of Tracy/Hepburn when I ruminate on iconic screen couples. It’s not just because of the prolific nature of their onscreen career, though and truthfully it doesn’t matter much that they actually had an enduring offscreen romance. In theory, they seem ill matched. Kate’s much too fantastical and brash and Spencer comes off as placid – almost stolid. But, they’re sort of magical together (proof, proof, proof.)

        

I can’t think of any cinematic couple to match their electricity except for Dick and Liz. True, they come off much more explosive than the general good-natured sanguine nature of Tracy/Hepburn, but it’s difficult to deny them their histrionics. They’re much more sensual, and it works even if it’s a bit disturbing if you consider what their actually “home” life might have been. The reason I bring this up is because I think of how contemporary Hollywood has eschewed all those great occurrences of real-life couples pairing up (successfully) on screen. I don’t care if I’m one of the few who had legitimate interest in Mr and Mrs Smith I like it for the chance of seeing a real couple on screen. As impersonal as everything is now, Hollywood has sort of lost that irreverence. Which is one of the reasons that I love Vicky Cristina Barcelona even more...

     

Don’t you wish more real life couples would do movies together? I want another Warren/Annette film. A Will Arnett and Amy Poehler comedy. More Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman. What about you?

Miley Cyrus Smoking Hot on 'So Undercover' Pics

Miley Cyrus is no stranger to raising people's eyebrows. This time, the "Can't Be Tamed" hitmaker shows off her skin on first official stills for "So Undercover". On one pic, the 18-year-old beauty strips down to her red bra and boxer shorts. 

Apart from the sizzling image, another photo sees Cyrus locking lips with co-star Joshua Bowman. Cyrus also shows off her beautiful dress as well as daily outfits on some other pictures for the action comedy film. 

"So Undercover" centers its story on Cyrus' Molly Morris, who has to transform herself from a tough, streetwise private investigator to a refined, sophisticated university girl to help protect the daughter of a one-time Mobster. With several suspects on her list, Molly unexpectedly discovers that not everyone is who they appear to be, including herself. 

This Tom Vaughan-helmed movie also has Kelly Osbourne, Jeremy Piven, Mike O'Malley, Alexis Knapp and Lauren McKnight in the cast ensemble. The film itself will make its way out in October later this year. 

Kim Kardashian to Ditch Last Name After Tying the Knot

Kim Kardashian won't stay as a Kardashian for long, it has been reported. Sources close to Kim insisted to TMZ that the star of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" will "for sure" drop her famous last name and take NBA star fiance Kris Humphries' last name after the two get married this summer. 

Should Kim do so, the TV personality is likely to go against what her mother Kris Jenner's wish for her to keep her maiden name. In an interview with PopEater, 55-year-old Kris said, "I don't think she should take his name and be Kim Humphries. I think she needs to be Kim Kardashian because she's worked so hard to get where she is." 

In another news, Kim and her fiance Kris are already planning on having a baby together. An insider told OK! Magazine, "Kim always thought she'd have at least one or two kids by now, so she's absolutely in a hurry. And Kris loves kids and doesn't see any reason to wait. Her friends are even taking bets on whether it will be a boy or a girl." 

Kim got engaged to Kris in mid-May after only six months of dating. Sharing details of the romantic proposal was the couple themselves. To People Magazine, the pair revealed that Kris got down on one knee in Kim's bedroom where words "Will You Marry Me?" have been formed using red rose petals.

Who is Alodia Gosiengfia? Well, if you just came around from Mars for years now I'm pretty sure you don't know Alodia Gosiengfia. The crowned Cosplay Queen of the Philippines for dominating the cosplay industry for many years now.

Alodia Gosiengfia started cosplay (costume play which involves dressing up as a character) since she was 15. Since then she became popular in cosplay and later joined showbiz industry. Alodia is regularly seen at ABS-CBN's prank show "Laugh Out Loud" with Luis Manzano.
